Pigalle was conceived by Peter Rix and created by Craig Ilott and had its world premiere at the 2019 Sydney Festival at the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent in Hyde Park.
Pigalle is a cabaret show about hopes, dreams and desires. Set in Paris, it tells the story of love, diversity, abandon and a life long lost. This is the story of a tribe with hopes and desires and we follow them as they rebuild themselves while searching for their place and finding where they belong.
In its opening season, Pigalle starred Iota, Marcia Hines and, from Bangara Dance Theatre, Waangenga Blanco.
Pigalle is a story of redemption, unified in both music and movement.
